Miguel Rojas Injured Tuesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas (wrist) was injured during an intrasquad game on Tuesday, jamming his wrist and pinkie finger while making a diving play on a ground ball. It's not a serious injury, however, and manager Don Mattingly said that if Rojas had to play on Wednesday, he would be able to. With the Marlins playing another intrasquad game on Thursday, Rojas is expected to return to the lineup and will be ready to go for Opening Day next week. Rojas is expected to man the shortstop position for the Marlins, and while a lot of his value comes from his defense, he's developed into a decent enough hitter to garner some consideration in deeper formats.
