Scott Kingery Rejoins Workouts Saturday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder/outfielder Scott Kingery, who had previously tested positive for COVID-19, was cleared and rejoined the team on Saturday. He took part in batting practice but won't play in the scrimmage. The Phillies will ease him back into things after he suffered from some symptoms. There's a chance that Kingery is used more as a utility player to begin the season if he's not up to full speed by then. Still, he's attractive at his current 180 ADP because of his multi-position eligibility and power/speed profile as one of the team's former top prospects. The 26-year-old had a .258/.315/.474 slash line, 19 home runs, 55 RBI, 64 runs and 15 stolen bases in 126 games last year and has 25 steals in his two seasons in the big leagues.
