Wander Franco Could Make Big League Debut This Year
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco, MLB's top prospect, could find his way onto the big league roster later this year despite being just 19 years old and not playing at a level beyond High-A. Franco is the second prospect ever to receive an 80-grade hit tool (the other being Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) and has an advanced grasp of the strike zone with an 83:54 BB:K ratio over 768 minor league plate appearances. He was officially named to the team's 60-man roster for the 2020 season this week. It's exciting to think about Franco playing in the majors, but there's no guarantee it'll happen during the 60-game season, so he's still best as a dynasty/keeper asset than a redraft one.
