Connor McGovern Thinks Le'Veon Bell Is Special
4 years agoNew York Jets center Connor McGovern thinks running back Le'Veon Bell is "a special player" despite disappointing with only 789 rushing yards and 3.2 yards per carry in 2019. The Jets brought in seven new offensive lineman this offseason in hopes of improving a unit that was one of the league's worst last season. McGovern is learning his fifth offense in as many seasons, but he's familiar with head coach Adam Gase's zone-blocking scheme from his time in Denver as a rookie. Bell, 28, will fall down draft boards because of his weak season in his first year with Gang Green, but this will present value opportunity for savvy fantasy owners. Bell may never be the runner he was with Pittsburgh in Gase's system, but he'll at least be a safe RB2 at a reduced cost in 2020.
