5 years agoThe New York Mets selected Corona Senior High School outfielder Isaiah Greene with the 69th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Greene didn't stand out in his junior season in high school, but he jumped on the scouting radar with a strong summer and fall. He has impressive raw tools and can remain in center field at the next level because of his plus speed. Greene is a contact-first hitter and is also very aggressive on the base paths. Scouts believe he could develop more power once he tinkers with his mechanics as big league coaches develop him. There's room for growth here because of the raw athleticism despite the current lack of high-end polish.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
