Virtual Offseason Extended Through June 26
5 years agoThe NFL notified teams on Thursday that the virtual period for offseason work will be extended through June 26, but there will be no in-person minicamps this month, according to sources. It's bad news for rookies and veterans with new teams this year, but this was expected amid the coronavirus pandemic. The good news is that some coaches have already returned to team facilities, and the league is hoping to get clearance for training camps to go on as usual at the end of July. With no on-field workouts this spring due to COVID-19, many offensive players have started to organize workouts on their own in order to get their timing down and gain chemistry before training camp.
