Aaron Donald Is An Elite Pass-Rusher
5 years agoLos Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald leads the NFL with 267 quarterback pressures since 2016, with 69 of those coming last season, which was second in the NFL per Next Gen Stats. On top of that, Donald was double- or triple-teamed more than in any other year of his career in 2019 and still managed a league-high 84 trips inside the five-foot QB halo among all interior defenders. He got off the line of scrimmage in an average of 0.88 seconds, which was the fastest among interior defenders of those with a minimum of 200 pass rushes. The 29-year-old All-Pro can have disappointing games here and there because he's always the top priority of opposing offensive lines, but Donald is still the cream of the crop in terms of pass-rushers and remains a top-five IDP target on the defensive line.
