Zach Pascal 2020 Outlook: Must Catch A Break To Receive Starting Snaps
5 years agoIn his second year in the NFL, Zach Pascal showed flashes of his potential by catching 41 passes for 607 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games (13 starts). It was definitely a step in the right direction for the 25-year-old, but Pascal mostly received the opportunity because of injuries to the team's top-two receivers in T.Y. Hilton and rookie Parris Campbell. The Colts also drafted stud wideout Michael Pittman Jr. to be a starter in three-wide sets immediately in 2020, which hurts Pascal's chances for continued development. The QB upgrade from Jacoby Brissett to Philip Rivers is a positive, but Pascal's role as the No. 4 receiver in Indy won't endear him to many fantasy owners as anything more than a waiver wire pickup if an injury occurs ahead of him on the depth chart.
