Jordan Love 2020 Outlook: Athletic, Raw QB Will Have Time To Learn Behind The Best
5 years agoThe Packers shocked a lot of folks when they traded up in the first round to take Utah State QB Jordan Love, now the heir apparent to Aaron Rodgers. But Rodgers remains under contract in Green Bay for the next four years, and his contract pretty much makes him untradeable for the next three seasons. So Love probably won't see any playing time in the regular season unless the future Hall of Famer is hurt. The 21-year-old was one of the most polarizing draft prospects in this year's class. He's a natural thrower with a big arm and has the ability to make plays outside of the pocket with his athleticism. But his consistency in his final college season was concerning, and his aggressiveness can get him in trouble. Love will have time to develop, and he'll need to improve his decision-making, anticipation and accuracy if he's to become the Packers franchise QB after Rodgers. If you draft him in dynasty/keeper leagues, be prepared for him to take up space on your roster for years to come.
