Damien Harris 2020 Outlook: Expanded Role Ahead?
5 years agoNew England Patriots running back Damien Harris could find himself getting added responsibilities as he begins his second year as a professional. While third-year back Sony Michel will likely handle a bulk of the carries, at least initially, Harris could consume a handful each game, with the potential for more if as the year progresses. Harris appeared in only two games in 2019, finishing with just four attempts for 12 yards. That number could increase, especially with the Patriots anticipated to run more often than in years past now that Tom Brady is in Tampa, making the 23-year-old an adequate late-round handcuff as the potential workhorse if Michel doesn't live up to expectations in 2020.
