Danny Amendola 2020 Outlook: Still Productive?
5 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Danny Amendola landed with the team in March of 2019 after the Miami Dolphins cut him. While many players his age begin to regress as their careers start to wind down, the 34-year-old was as good as ever last season. He would go on to end the season by catching 62 of his 97 targets for 678 yards, which was the second-highest yard's total of his career. With Detroit signing him to another one-year bid, the veteran will now begin his 12th season in the league for a team that didn't add much on the receiving end outside of the underwhelming Geronimo Allison, and fifth-round pick Quintez Cephus out of Wisconsin. Amendola will probably continue to have flashes of production moving ahead, primarily in PPR formats, as evident by the four games with at least seven catches that he had in 2019. Still, he isn't a week-to-week fantasy option, but he should have a roster spot in most PPR formats with 14 teams and up, with his stock rising elsewhere if either Kenny Golladay or Marvin Jones Jr. miss time for one reason or another throughout 2020.
