Trey Mancini Has Tumor Removed From Colon
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Trey Mancini underwent successful surgery on Thursday to remove a malignant tumor from his colon. The tumor was discovered last week during a colonoscopy. Mancini's recovery will not be known until next week, but the good news for him is that the start of the regular season has been pushed back at least two weeks due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus. The soon-to-be 28-year-old hit .291 with 35 home runs and 97 RBI at first base and designated hitter in 2019. His unfortunate situation will likely cause him to fall in drafts because of his unknown timetable, but Mancini certainly has appeal in all leagues if he's healthy and playing every day. His current ADP sits at 114.
