Kwang-Hyun Kim Scheduled to Pitch on Thursday
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim (groin) recovered well from his bullpen side session and is scheduled to pitch in one of Thursday's split-squad games. Kim was scratched from his start on Monday due to mild groin soreness, but he was able to throw a bullpen instead and is now ready to go for Thursday. It was never considered a serious injury, much more a preventative scratch, but it's still good to know that he'll be back on the mound right away. Kim is fighting for a rotation spot and seems to have an early edge. The 31-year-old had a solid career in the KBO and could be an interesting fantasy asset in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
