Blake Jarwin Likely To Receive Second-Round Tender
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are likely to use the second-round tender on Dallas Cowboys impending restricted free-agent tight end Blake Jarwin, which would cost around $3.3 million, according to sources. Dallas spoke with Jarwin's agent, Kelli Masters, last week about a long-term extension. The Cowboys are also likely to tender backup quarterback Cooper Rush, which would cost around $2.1 million. Jarwin, 25, has 58 catches for 672 yards and six touchdowns in his two seasons with the Cowboys. He should have a bigger role as a pass-catcher in 2020, regardless of whether veteran Jason Witten sticks around. If the team lets Witten walk, Jarwin could definitely enter the TE1 conversation next year.
