5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys will likely use their franchise tag on quarterback Dak Prescott, according to sources. The Cowboys are running out of time to reach a long-term contract extension with their franchise quarterback, so they'll play it safe and tag him. It's taking much longer than expected for both sides to reach an agreement, but something will eventually get done and Prescott will remain in Dallas for the long haul. Despite a disappointing finish outside of the playoff picture in 2019, Prescott had a career-best season and will be in the mix as a high-end QB1 for fantasy owners this fall. His upside could be limited, however, if the Cowboys can't re-sign wide receiver Amari Cooper.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
