Anthony Santander Won't Be Limited In Camp
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander (shoulder), who dealt with right labrum inflammation last September, spent the winter rehabbing and avoided surgery. Santander arrived to camp three weeks early and will not be limited in spring training. The 25-year-old Venezuelan hit .261/.297/.476 with a surprising 20 home runs and 59 RBI in 93 games with the Orioles in his third major league season. He did have 86 strikeouts and only 19 walks, however, which means he probably won't be helping fantasy owners in the average department anytime soon. He'll be competing for outfield playing time with the likes of Austin Hays, Cedric Mullins and D.J. Stewart, but he could be intriguing for his power stroke in AL-only formats if he's playing at least semi-regularly.
