Cowboys Choose Mike McCarthy As Next Head Coach
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with former Packers coach Mike McCarthy to be their next head coach on Monday. Dallas finally fired Jason Garrett on Sunday and chose McCarthy the very next day. McCarthy was 125-77-2 in 13 years as the head man in Green Bay and won a Super Bowl. He had also interviewed with the Browns, Giants and Panthers. He brings plenty of experience to the table in Dallas and will have take over a roster ready to win right now. It'll be interesting to see how the Cowboys approach long-term deals with both quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper, but the Cowboys should be in contention to win the NFC East in 2020.
