5 years agoDenver Broncos president John Elway said the team's goal is to re-sign safety Justin Simmons. "We want him back," Elway said. The Broncos could place the franchise tag on Simmons in a worst-case scenario, but they'd prefer to lock down the emerging safety with a long-term contract. Along with cornerback Chris Harris Jr., Simmons was a big reason why Denver's secondary tightened up throughout the season. The 26-year-old has 90-plus tackles in each of the last two years, and he also managed a career-high four interceptions in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
