5 years agoDenver Broncos president John Elway expects quarterback Drew Lock to open the 2020 season as the starter under center. "I don’t see any other options," Elway said. Lock was on Injured Reserve for most of his rookie season with a finger injury, but he led the team to a 4-1 record to close the season in the final five games while going 100-for-156 (64.1 percent) for 1,020 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. He must improve in his sophomore season and avoid making bone-headed decisions with the football, but Lock's arm strength will allow him to make any throw he needs to make. He'll likely have an up-and-down full season as the starter, but his presence under center will raise the upside of Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
