Lance McCullers Jr., Josh Reddick Should Be Ready
5 years agoHouston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said that starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. (elbow) and outfielder Josh Reddick (shoulder) will be 100 percent healthy entering spring training and won't be limited at all. McCullers missed the entire 2019 season after having Tommy John surgery, but he'll be a big part of the team's rotation if he's healthy. He'll need to stay healthy to try and help fill in for the loss of Gerrit Cole. McCullers has electric stuff (10.1 K/9 in four seasons), but injuries are what makes him a high-risk, high-reward fantasy starter. You could be able to get him on the cheap in 2020 coming off his injury. Reddick hit .275/.319/.409 with 14 home runs and 56 RBI in his 501 at-bats for the 'Stros in 2019. The 32-year-old is more of a commodity in deep mixed and AL-only leagues for outfield depth.
