JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner Questionable This Week
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that there is no clarity yet on wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) or running back James Conner (shoulder), and they are both questionable to play in Week 14 against the Cardinals. Both players were in the training room on Monday, and Conner has a chance to practice on Wednesday. Conner and Smith-Schuster have both been out since Nov. 14. You shouldn't be counting on either if you made the fantasy playoffs. Benny Snell Jr. has been seeing most of the early down work in Conner's absence, but he has been ceding pass-game work to Jaylen Samuels and others, so he's a touchdown-dependent RB3, at best. In JuJu's absence, James Washington has stepped up and become flex-worthy for fantasy owners. Both he and Diontae Johnson could have good games against Arizona's non-existent secondary if Smith-Schuster misses another game. Keep a close eye on their practices statuses this week.
