Cowboys Could Lose Amari Cooper, Byron Jones
5 years agoThere has been no progress on new deals for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver Amari Cooper and cornerback Byron Jones, who are all eligible for free agency after this season, according to sources. Prescott has built a case to become the highest paid quarterback in the league and he's the team's priority. The only way Cooper doesn't hit the market is if the franchise tag is placed on him, and Dallas could easily use it on Prescott. Jones, a former first-rounder, will be positioned well on the open market with years of experience at safety and corner. It's looking likely that he will be playing elsewhere in 2020. If Cooper leaves, Michael Gallup would be the No. 1 wideout in Dallas.
