George Kittle, Deebo Samuel Doing Non-Contact Work
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (knee) and rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are taking part in practice on Thursday in non-contact jerseys. It's progress for both players, especially for Kittle, who has missed the last two games. The problem for both if they are game-time decisions is that they play on Sunday night against the Packers. San Fran's group of wideouts is in flux with Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) also questionable. Dante Pettis and Marquise Goodwin would be forced into more playing time, among others, if both Samuel and Sanders were inactive. Samuel has back-to-back 100-yard games and would be a solid WR3 if active. Kittle is a must-play if he's on the field, but Ross Dwelley is an acceptable replacement as a TE2 streamer if you take this to the wire Sunday night.
