Adrian Phillips Set To Return From Injured Reserve
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers safety Adrian Phillips (forearm) has been designated as a player that will return from Injured Reserve, and he could play as soon as Monday night against the Chiefs in Week 11. He was placed on IR on Sept. 17 after breaking his forearm in the loss to the Lions. Second-year safety Derwin James (foot) will likely be the team's second player that will be allowed to come off IR to close out the season. Phillips played in all 16 games last year and had 94 tackles, nine passes defensed, an interception and a forced fumble, so he will be a huge addition to the secondary when he returns. LA's defense could close the year as an every-week fantasy consideration.
