Lions Defense Without Darius Slay, Mike Daniels
5 years agoDetroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring) and defensive tackle Mike Daniels (foot) are both out for Week 8 against the Giants. Slay is the team's top cornerback, so they'll be even more vulnerable through the air after getting beat up by Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins a week ago. Slay's absence upgrades quarterback Daniel Jones' and wide receiver Darius Slayton's matchups. Daniels continues to sit out and will cause the Lions run defense to be a little more vulnerable against stud running back Saquon Barkley. Fire Barkley up as a top RB play.
