5 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 8 against the Rams. Green said on Sunday that his recovery hasn't been longer than he or the team expected, even though he didn't start the season on Injured Reserve. Green is a trade candidate and is unlikely to make his season debut before the Oct. 29 deadline. There's also the situation regarding a contract extension that he'd like to have cleared up before he plays. Fantasy owners that have been stashing him must remain patient. He'll be the clear top option for quarterback Andy Dalton when he returns. In the meantime, Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and Alex Erickson will continue to work in three-wide sets.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
