James Conner Due For Heavy Workload
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is expected to receive a high quantity of touches in Sunday night's game with the LA Chargers. With Mason Rudolph (concussion) expected to miss and Jaylen Samuels (knee) out for a month, there aren't many other options on offense. Conner hasn't exactly lived up to his high-draft capital this season, as he's rushed for just 194 yards and two touchdowns through five games. However, he's hauled in 19 passes for 153 yards and another score, which gives him a great floor in PPR formats. The Chargers have allowed 538 yards and just three touchdowns to running backs this season, so you can view Conner as a mid-range RB2 due to expected volume, but he gets a slight bump in PPR leagues.
