Michael Porter Jr. 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoAfter a season spent on the sidelines, Michael Porter Jr. is back in action for the Denver Nuggets. Once touted as a potential top Draft selection, Porter slipped to the Nuggets at No. 14 overall in 2018 due to a back ailment that kept him in street clothes for the entirety of the year. Despite having played in just three games during his single season at Missouri, Porter boasts an enormous upside at 21 years old. The Nuggets boast a wide range of depth, especially on the wings, so relying upon Porter out of the gate in any fantasy format seems to be a tricky proposition. But with that said, head coach Michael Malone has shown a reliance to ride the hot hand once it’s developed, and Porter has electrifying attributes that could make keeping him out of the lineup impractical. He’s worth hanging onto in keepers leagues, and he is potentially worth a late-round selection in those starting up this season.
