Willie Cauley-Stein 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoThere's been a ton of change with the Golden State Warriors this offseason, from the departure of Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala to the injury-related absence of Klay Thompson and the addition of D'Angelo Russell. While those things rightly get the headlines, one underrated addition the team made was former Sacramento Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein. Cauley-Stein is expected to be the team's starting five this season, though a foot injury will delay the start of his season. Once he does join the team, he should put up efficient scoring numbers inside and be a solid rebounder, though WCS's lack of blocks hurts his value, since you likely want blocks from your center. Still, something around a 12-point, eight-rebound per game average is easily within reach, with Cauley-Stein also likely to average a couple of assists and a steal per game as well. He should provide fantasy owners with solid value.
