Lorenzo Cain Not Expected To Need Surgery
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain (knee) is not expected to need offseason knee surgery. Cain battled multiple injuries all season long, which caused him to have a down year. He hit a mediocre .260/.325/.372 with 11 home runs, 75 runs scored, 48 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 148 games. Cain has never been a big power guy, but his big drop in average and reduction in stolen bases was very concerning. He hit .308 and stole a career-high 30 bags last season. With better health, the expectation is that Cain can bounce back in 2020 as a value pick in drafts.
