Miles Mikolas Gets Nod In Series Opener Versus Braves
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas will get the start in Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Braves on Thursday. The righty boasts a 2.61 ERA against the Braves, and Atlanta is hitting .244 against him. Mikolas is expected to be followed in the rotation by Jack Flaherty, Adam Wainwright and Dakota Hudson. The 31-year-old finished the 2019 regular season with a 9-14 record, 4.16 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 144 K's in 184 innings over 32 starts. His 7.0 K/9 doesn't make him the most attractive DFS play in the postseason, although he does come into this game having gone at least five innings while allowing three runs or fewer in each of his five September starts.
