Welcome to the Friday, September 27th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on September 27th. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Not fancy but the Pick Two at Jason’s Deli is Aristides Aquino’s choice (18HR/7SB).
- Joe Musgrove. Yes, I will probably be back in on the speculation picks of him in 2020. Here’s why:
- Last five starts: 2.89ERA(2.51FIP), 23.7%K-BB
- Last eight starts: 3.74ERA(2.70FIP), 20.3%K-BB
- Oh yeah, that’s how you finish a season and build the hype for 2020. Sean Manaea (4-0).
- Victor Robles w/bountiful 17HR, 27SB, and .254AVG. .324OBP could be polished up a bit.
- Can anyone guarantee that I’ll get good Stephen Strasburg in 2020? I’d pay for 18W.
- Kyle Tucker hits ‘em w/the smoothness. Fourth long-distance blown kiss. (Wink & Smirk included).
- Luis Castillo faces a shell of the true Brewer’s lineup. 5IP, 5ER, 4BB, 8K.
- La Tortuga returns and he’s snapping too. Willians Astudillo hits fourth dinger.
- Victor Reyes still gets no respect. .298AVG. Eighth stolen base.
- The 4% who own Jordan Zimmerman, I release you!
- J.D. Martinez puts a rare token into the SB machine (2).
- Danny Santana gets the Pick Two at TGIF. 27th HR (rare), 19th SB (medium).
- No, 21 long balls by Jackie Bradley Jr. does not affect my outlook for him.
- Clayton Kershaw had a great year. 16W for his believers…or lucky drafters.
- Brandon Nimmo w/4HR, 11RBI, 1SB, .273AVG in last 15 games. .378OBP is why many will draft him again.
- Wasn’t Aaron Civale supposed to be an easy start vs White Sox? 3.1IP, 4ER, 3BB isn’t easy to swallow.
- Wow, George Springer w/only his second SB in last four months.
- You Shall Not Pass! Sean Murphy put a halt to Mallex Smith’s running escapades.
- Matt Chapman trying to stock the shelves quickly before the offseason. 36th tater.
- Have a great Friday. Pick up the slack, help others, finish strong.
- No Fear, Just Fantasy.
