5 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitchers Kyle Hendricks and Yu Darvish have been shut down for the rest of the 2019 season. The team is out of playoff contention, so there is no need for either to take the mound again in the last week of the regular season. Alec Mills will draw the start on Friday. Lefty Cole Hamels will make what could be his last start with the team on Saturday. The starter for Sunday has not been announced yet. Both Hendricks and Darvish should be back in the Cubs rotation next season.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
