Welcome to the Sunday, September 22nd edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on September 22nd. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Giancarlo Stanton is you riding a fantasy risk swing. One side is fantasy greatness. The other side is despair (of health). Do you want to ride this ride in 2020?
- James Paxton is a BAD man. 15th W*. 6IP, 0ER, 7K. What?! Why an asterisk? “Because it was against the Bo Bichette-less Blue Jays.” Ugh!
- Yadier Molina tosses aside the chains of age. 5HR, 1SB, .323AVG over last month.
- You must know, I can’t help myself. Carlos Martinez w/10SV in last 30 days. 72% owned?! What? Is no one reading this stuff?
- Paul DeJong has given you mixed emotions. 15HR in second half (two more than the first half in 100 fewer AB) w/.209AVG.
- Did Dakota Hudson and Jose Quintana bet to see which one could get out of game quicker? Hudson wins (3IP).
- Anthony DeSclafani was superb. Everything I wanted on my bench. 7IP, 1ER, 7K.
- Stephen Strasburg methodically slices through his opposition. “Excuse me. It was the Marlins. No method really needed.” Shut it!
- As if his free agency would be helped by adding a “speed” component, Anthony Rendon swipes his fourth bag.
- Trea Turner chuckles. Isn’t four steals so cute? Zoooom. 34 is where it’s at.
- Nate Lowe walks it out. Seventh screamer. If anything is right in this world, he will get playing time in 2020.
- Me & you. And you & me. No matter how we hit the ball, it has to be. The only one for me is you, and you for me! Xander Bogaerts (32) & Rafael Devers(31) are so happy hitting homers together.
- Tim Anderson adds another to the intrigue pile w/18HR.
- Yes, Of course, Justus Sheffield would get blown up by the O’s.
- Mallex Smith w/worst monthly AVG so far in Sep(.122). Six SB though.
- It only takes one hit & the crowd goes wild. Austin Hays w/second party-starter.
- Trent Grisham w/first career combo meal. Where does the mustache like to party? Schlotzkys! Now you’re talking my language.
- In 77 games, Keston Hiura has 18 long balls. So dreamy for 2002.
- Ryan Braun steals a base(11). True believers cheer maniacally.
- Orlando Arcia is not the answer, can we get someone that can truly take advantage of dynamic offense?
- Silly Talk Time. Yordan Alvarez w/27HR & 77RBI in 81 games.
- Do you give 33HR, .237AVG another contract if it would block a stud prospect? Me either. Sorry, Kole Calhoun.
- Jose Berrios allows you to bang your head against the wall. 6IP, 5ER, 5K vs. KC.
- Respect to Brad Miller for two taters.
- 33HR w/.256AVG seems like a letdown. He’ll still be drafted in the second round thanks to 14SB.
- Francisco Lindor w/31HR, 22SB, .291AVG while missing time. Verklempt.
- Get your taters. Taters here. Oscar Mercado selling taters (13).
- Baseball is unpredictable. Max Fried w/17W.
- Johnny Cueto rejuvenation party sours quickly.
- Yes, Hunter Renfroe, we see your 33 dingers. We also see your .222AVG
- Sean Manaea will be drafted as SP2/3 in 2020. I’ll jump in on some leagues.
- No! Walker Buehler loses at home?! Stop the lies.
- Isn’t that sweet? The Forgotten Boys. Ryan McMahon (23rd HR) & Garrett Hampson (13th SB) stealing the spotlight.
- Have a great Sunday. Sleep in. Get out early. You do you and be happy about your choice.
- No Fear, Just Fantasy.
