Cody Zeller 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Cody Zeller has all the tools to be a solid fantasy player, but injuries just keep holding back the big man. Zeller has managed to suit up in just an average of 48 games a year over the last three seasons. Yet, he showed to be a more than serviceable big man last season with numbers of 10.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks while connecting on 55.1% from the floor. He did all of this in just 25.4 minutes a night. With Zeller looking to be the main man in the middle this season in Charlotte and if he can maintain these numbers, even with a slight improvement, he could be a solid bargain pick up as he will most likely slide on many draft boards. He has more value in category leagues but should be able to hold his own in points leagues as well. He is not a player to reach for, but he can easily be a solid third or fourth big man, depending on your league’s depth, and if you see him on the draft boards in the later rounds, he is definitely worth an add.
