Rajon Rondo 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo is suiting up once again in the gold and purple and is technically the only true point guard on the roster. There has been talk that LeBron James will be the team’s primary ball-handler and this is usually the case when he is on the court. It seems that Rajon Rondo’s elite streaming days in fantasy are getting shorter and shorter and it will be interesting to see how he fits in with the revamped squad. Rondo still managed to average 8.0 assists a night last season and upped his makes from to 1.1 a night on a serviceable 35.9% shooting. We should expect his assists to take a hit, but if he can continue to hit the long ball, provide his feisty perimeter defense on opposing point guards and most importantly, stay healthy (played just 46 games last season), we could see Rondo pulling some steady value this season. He is worth a flier pick in the later rounds and if he goes undrafted, add him to your watchlists.
