John Wall 2019-2020 Player Outlook
5 years agoWashington Wizards point guard goes into the 2019-2020 season unfortunately on the injury report instead of the scouting report. Last season before Wall was sidelined with a season-ending surgery to repair bone spurs in his left heel he was having another solid season. In the 32 games that Wall played in the 2019-2020 season, he averaged 20.7 points, 8.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds a game. Also, Wall averaged in that same span 1.5 steals and nearly a block a contest. The injury woes kept on pilling up for Wall as he was recovering from his surgery to his left heel Wall slipped at home and ruptured his left Achilles tendon late January of 2019. The Achilles tendon injury usually sidelines players for twelve months which would mean at the earliest Wall would miss most of next year. The other factor for Wall is that besides shooting guard Bradley Beal the Wizards aren't very good. With that in mind, the Wizards will likely keep Wall out the entirety of the 2019-2020 season to let the heel and Achilles fully heal and to have better lottery odds for next year's draft. This means that Wall is a stay-away for fantasy players in season-long leagues.
