Darren Sproles Heavily Involved in the Offense in Week 1
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles was heavily involved in the offense in Week 1. The veteran back led the Eagles in rushing, running the ball nine times for 47 yards. He added three catches for 16 yards through the air. Sproles' role was uncertain heading into the game, but he was the most effective member of the Eagles running game, trailing only Miles Sanders' 11 carries. Corey Clement didn't record an offensive stat, so Sproles may be ticketed for a bigger role than expected. He's a stronger option in PPR leagues, but more games like this one and he'll have significant standard league value as well.
