Welcome to the Thursday, September 5th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on September 5th. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- ON YOUR LEFT!! Young bucks always want to push faster. Peter Alonso surges toward 45th long ball.
- Amed Rosario sneaking up on 15HR/20SB season. Quite valuable.
- Warpath! Aaron Judge w/8HR, 12RBI, .317AVG in last 15 days. Making up for lost time.
- Nick Solak owns .320AVG. Camden & Arlington upcoming. Get ready!
- Trevor Bauer serves up a couple of HR. J.T. Realmuto flexes his 21st gun salute.
- Jose Berrios, not a true ace just yet. Mookie Betts put the screws to him twice(25).
- Express. Eddie Rosario makes an urgent delivery(28).
- Great to see Eduardo Rodriguez go seven innings from time to time. 17W. 3.81ERA(4.18FIP)
- Shane Bieber continues to prove he deserves to be in the upper tier. 31%K rate. 3.24FIP.
- Jose Abreu provides. 29HR, 106RBI. 69R isn’t as comforting as you’d want.
- Oscar Mercado struggling but four SB in 15 days is helpful.
- Mike Yastrzemski was just a name people chuckled at. Nobody chuckles at 51R, 19HR.
- THUN-DAH!!! Jorge Soler rocks the stadium w/450-footer (40).
- Ian Kennedy gets 26 saves. This is why baseball is unpredictable.
- Chris Paddack had a good outing. Unfortunately, Zac Gallen was better.
- Ketel Marte, I love how you keep raising the stakes. 30HR.
- He probably won’t get any respect in 2020. Marcus Semien w/100R, 26HR, 7SB, .272AVG.
- Sean Murphy gets first big-league long ball. Hats off, young man.
- Remember when Jurickson Profar was a top prospect. 19HR, 7SB, .214AVG. Ugh.
- Hyun-Jin Ryu scuffles again. Gotta take the bad w/the good. 4.1IP, 3ER, 4BB.
- Facing a righty? Find yourself a Joc Pederson (32).
- Have a great Thursday. Football game tonight. Baseball too.
- No Fear, Just Fantasy.
