Tony Pollard Should Still Have a Role in Week 1
5 years agoDallas Cowboys rookie running back Tony Pollard should still have a decently meaningful role on offense in Week 1. Pollard was a fantasy darling when starter Ezekiel Elliott was thought to potentially continue his holdout into the regular season, but now that "Zeke" is back, Pollard's immediate value takes a massive hit. Still, the Cowboys are expected to ease Elliott back into the offense with 20-25 snaps in Week 1, leaving enough for Pollard to likely make some noise. He's an RB3 option in Week 1, but won't be ranked that high again unless Elliott is forced to miss time. With Elliott's return, Pollard will be little more than a handcuff with nice upside.
