Lee Smith 2019 Player Outlook: Blocking TE in Run-heavy Offense
5 years agoTyler Kroft and Dawson Knox are listed ahead of Lee Smith on the depth chart and that won't change. They are competing for the pass-catching TE role and Lee Smith will be the run-blocking TE. He signed a 3-year, $9 million dollar contract to block and set the tone on the outside, so his role is sealed. He may be worth a weekly waiver add if all other TE’s are hurt, but you can avoid him in the draft.
