Aaron Civale Earns a Quality Start but Takes a Loss on Monday
5 years agoCleveland Indians rookie starting pitcher Aaron Civale pitched well on Monday, earning a quality start. He ended up taking a loss though, as the Cleveland offense finished off the game without scoring a run. Civale lasted six innings, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk. He struck out seven and threw 89 pitches. Civale has now thrown 12 big league innings, allowing just one run and striking out 13. He's due for some regression, but he could be a solid AL-only option if he sticks in the rotation.
