5 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Tim Collins was optioned by the organization last week and refused an assignment to Triple-A. He will now become a free agent after declining the option to play in the minors. Collins had a 3.12 ERA in nine appearances with the Cubs, but could possibly get a minor league or major league option elsewhere. However, he's not a late inning reliever, so he doesn't hold much fantasy value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
