5 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Ryan Cordell has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of Thursday's game against the Mets. The 27-year-old will take the active roster spot of third baseman Yoan Moncada, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain on Wednesday. Cordell appeared in 69 games earlier this season, but recorded totals of five home runs and 18 RBI, along with a .234/.286/.354 slash line. Cordell will not have any significant fantasy value behind Eloy Jimenez, Leury Garcia, Jon Jay, and Adam Engel in the outfield.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
