5 years agoKansas City Royals budding superstar Adalberto Mondesi is headed to the Injured List after suffering a partial dislocation of his left shoulder. Officially termed a subluxation, the injury was suffered when Mondesi dove to attempt to catch a foul ball on Tuesday night. Mondesi verified for reporters that he felt the shoulder pop, but it seemed to return to where it was supposed to be right away. In the scheme of things, a partial dislocation is about the best case scenario compared to a variety of other possible outcomes. Mondesi is to be re-evaluated in seven days, and hopefully a timeline for return will be determined then. Rookie Nicky Lopez will fill in while Mondesi is sidelined.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
