David Freese Expected To Return Next Week
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that third baseman/first baseman David Freese (hamstring) is expected to return next week before the All-Star break. Freese is mostly limited to NL-only leagues in year-long formats because of his limited playing time. He's much more useful in DFS as a notorious lefty killer. The 36-year-old is hitting .308/.407/.592 on the season with eight homers, 30 runs and 23 RBI in 120 at-bats. Against left-handers this year he's hitting .257 (18-for-70) with four home runs and eight RBI. He's actually hitting much better against righties, going 19-for-50 (.380) with four homers and 15 RBI.
