Welcome to the Saturday, June 22nd edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on June 22nd. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Asdrubal Cabrera w/four-game suspension for throwing equipment?! The lethality of batting gloves cannot be denied. Without correction, there could be chaos.
- Mike Clevinger to IL, again. Did no one tell him we need him?
- Frankie Montas w/new pitch or new "supplement"?! No one likes cheaters...but is anyone giving back his performance thus far? Didn't think so.
- Michael Conforto Express picking up steam (15th HR). 4HR, 9RBI, 2SB, .281AVG/15 days.
- Jeff McNeil w/third-best batting average in the league (.341). Five HR & Two SB. Stabilizer.
- THUNDER! Christian Yelich(29) & Mike Moustakas(22). Great combo stack.
- Ramon Laureano w/as many HR (12) as Matt Olson. Laureano w/7HR, 21RBI, 5SB, .304AVG last month.
- Xander Bogaerts (3.5WAR, best among SS) & Rafael Devers (2.4WAR) not among All-Star game finalists?!?! Giovanny Urshela (1.0WAR)? Hunter Dozier (2.2WAR)?
- Cameron Maybin watches Marcell Ozuna’s Parkour moves off wall. “Hold my beer.” Same result.
- Dallas Keuchel not bad. 5IP, 3ER, 3K. For me, he’s only good for potential Ws.
- Austin Riley w/smoke bomb(12th HR). Stop Chasin’ (40.8%), it makes you look desperate & needy.
- "Operator, won’t you put me on through; gotta send my HR down to Baton Rouge. Hurry up, put me on the line; gotta run around the bases one more time.” ~ Gary Sanchez w/481ft long-distance call (Three in three days).
- Yes, easy on paper, but tough on the field as Trevor Bauer doesn’t put away Tigers (4IP, 5ER, 5K). I’d still buy low. He won’t finish the year in this uniform.
- Double your enjoyment. Nick Senzel(8HR, 6SB) & Yasiel Puig(15HR, 11SB) w/combo meals. Marcell Ozuna loves combos too (19HR/8SB).
- THUNDAH!! Nomar Mazara w/505ft missile.
- Stream Jordan Luplow vs lefties (.319AVG).
- Victor Robles picking up smoke. 2HR, 7RBI, .318 last week. Fire’s next.
- Joe Musgrove lookin’ deadly. 7IP, 1ER, 8K. Astros next. & the deadly pirate will look to the next ship to plunder.
- Manny Machado still awake. 5HR, 10RBI, .422AVG in two weeks
- Nick Senzel w/headaches. Please, for his sake, no vertigo!
- Routine checkup: Mallex Smith w/two SB. Now at 21R, 3HR, 13SB, .283 in 30 days. Sexy, right. Why only 54% owned?!
- Astros lose to one of their biggest foes (Yankees) & Tyler White (2HR, 11RBI, .234AVG in 158AB) is on the field. They must really hate Kyle Tucker. A trade of him must be forthcoming.
- Lorenzo Cain w/three SB(10). Been a dud otherwise.
- Woah. Three Philly SB in one game?! Gabe Kapler feeling frisky. (Roman Quinn, Bryce Harper, Jean Segura)
- Walker Buehler amused by the simplicity of this game. Complete game. Two ER. 16K. Nope, not a typo.
- Pitchers excel but no W.
- Aaron Nola. 8IP, 1ER, 10K.
- Brad Peacock. 6IP, 2ER, 11K.
- German Marquez. 8IP, 1ER, 8K.
- Enjoy your Saturday baseball with mostly afternoon games. Be engaged with other baseball fans.
- No Fear, Just Fantasy.
