5 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (heel) left the game early on Thursday with left heel soreness. It was his first game action since catching all 17 innings on Tuesday against the Red Sox. He was hitless in three plate appearances before departing. Garver is hitting an impressive .294/.378/.627 with 11 homers, 27 runs and 28 RBI on the season and has become relevant in most leagues at such a thin position. If he's forced to miss time, Jason Castro and Willians Astudillo would be splitting the catching duties behind the plate.
