Andrew Cashner Won't Start Friday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner (finger) will not start on Friday against the Red Sox due to a blister that was related to the "hot spot" he developed on his right middle finger during his start last weekend. It's probably a good thing for Cashner, who is surprisingly 6-2 despite a 4.73 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 51 K's in 70 1/3 innings over his 13 starts this season. It's unknown when the 32-year-old righty will next take the hill, but this injury doesn't sound like it's too serious. The O's may elect to go with a bullpen game against Boston on Friday, so stacking BoSox hitters in DFS may be the smart play against the lowly Orioles.
