5 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Brian Johnson (elbow) will be activated from the injured list on Friday. Hector Velazquez (back) started his rehab assignment on Thursday. Knuckleballer Steven Wright's knee is feeling great and he's on track to return when he's eligible on June 25 after serving a suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. All three pitchers are swing men for the Red Sox, and Johnson could be a candidate to start this Sunday against the lowly Orioles, where he'd be a streaming consideration in the deepest of leagues. Velazquez hasn't been very reliable in relief or as a starter this year and can be ignored. Wright figures to pitch in a relief role and also doesn't have much upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
